Hear&Hope for Guatemala was born from a desire to serve and bring hope to families in Guatemala, strengthening individuals and communities while sharing the love of Jesus. Mensajes que deseamos destacar
Our Story
Heart & Hope for Guatemala is a civil association that began its work in Santo Domingo Xenacoj, Sacatepéquez, in May 2023. It was founded by Rodrigo Corzo Díaz, a professional psychologist, with the motivation to support vulnerable families, with a particular focus on children living in challenging family environments due to alcohol abuse by one or both parents.
The economic instability resulting from these circumstances can lead to challenges such as migration to the United States and school dropout, often forcing children between the ages of 7 and 12 to take on adult responsibilities in order to help care for their younger siblings.
For this reason, our programs are designed to support each child who is part of Heart & Hope for Guatemala, helping them have the opportunity to build a better future while planting Christian principles in their lives.
Our Vision
To become a Center of Hope for Guatemala, where children and families, especially those living in vulnerable circumstances, have access to tools, opportunities, and support that empower them to build a dignified and sustainable future grounded in education, nutrition, family strengthening, entrepreneurship, and Christian principles.
Our Mission
To comprehensively address the needs of children and families living in vulnerable circumstances, particularly those affected by parental absence or inability due to alcohol and substance abuse. We provide support, education, nutrition, development opportunities, and Christian values-based guidance, with the purpose of strengthening their capacities, restoring hope, and opening pathways toward a future filled with opportunities.
